Adagio

Adagio is the fifth full-length studio album by Greek singer-songwriter Σtella (Stella Chronopoulou). It was released on April 4, 2025, through Sub Pop Records, marking her sophomore effort with the legendary Seattle indie label.

The album serves as a meditation on deceleration, love, and desire. The inspiration for Adagio struck Σtella almost by chance during an 11-hour ferry ride to the Cycladic island of Anafi, where she began writing material to pull herself out of a personal low.

Notably, Adagio features Σtella’s first-ever songs sung in her native Greek tongue. It incorporates international collaborations with artists like Rafael Cohen (Las Palabras) and Gabriel Stebbing. The production was handled by Σtella herself and mixed by Edmund Irwin-Singer.
