Breakaway is the second studio album by American pop singer Kelly Clarkson, released on November 30, 2004, in Canada and in the United States, by RCA Records, with a wider release following throughout 2005.

Breakaway is currently Clarkson's most successful release to date, with sales of over 12 million copies worldwide. On the week ending December 18, 2004, the album debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 album chart in the United States with 250,000 copies sold,[77][78] which were 47,000 less than her first week sales of Thankful.

By the end of 2005, Breakaway became the year's third best-selling album in the United States, according to Nielsen Soundscan.[83] It was certified 6× multi-platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America on May 23, 2007, and as of November 2024, it has sold over 6.4 million copies in the United States, becoming her best-selling record in the region.
