Clownin' With The World
Album by
Sonny Boy Williamson II
‧ 1989
Clownin' With The World is a blues compilation album featuring historical recordings from 1951 to 1954 by legendary blues harmonica player Sonny Boy Williamson II and delta blues pianist Willie Love. Originally captured by Lillian Shedd McMurry for Trumpet Records, these tracks were later compiled and released by Alligator Records in 1989.
The album splits its focus between tracks led by Sonny Boy Williamson II (often backed by Willie Love) and solo or orchestra tracks fronted by Willie Love. The recordings span across different studios in Houston, Texas, and Jackson, Mississippi.
