Hidden Faces

Album by Clan of Xymox ‧ 1997

First album with the return of the name Clan of Xymox, 1997's Hidden Faces contains far less synth/electronic presence, featuring plenty of present, but simple-as-hell guitar jangle with delay and songwriting that sounds ripped from The Cult and Fields of the Nephilim, and sounds disinterested as previous releases. From then, it became clear the band had become the official solo project of Ronald Moerings, more interesting in releasing the same "gothic-dancefloor" stuff over and over than anything else.
