Map of a Blue City

Map of a Blue City is a solo studio album by avant-garde guitarist Marc Ribot, released on May 23, 2025, through New West Records.

The record is a sprawling 30-year project in the making, tracing its origins back to Ribot's home recordings from the 1990s. The final 9-song set was produced and mixed by Ben Greenberg, pieced together from original studio sessions spearheaded by the late legendary producer Hal Willner alongside Ribot's archival tape recordings. It heavily blends elements of avant-garde jazz, lo-fi folk, and experimental rock, notably showcasing Ribot's rare turns as both a lead vocalist and a songwriter.
