Really Rosie

Really Rosie is a 1975 children's soundtrack album composed and performed by legendary singer-songwriter Carole King, with lyrics and story by acclaimed children's author and illustrator Maurice Sendak. Released on February 1, 1975, by Ode Records, the album serves as the official soundtrack to the CBS animated television special of the same name.

The project stems from Sendak's popular books, primarily The Sign on Rosie's Door and his Nutshell Library series (which includes Chicken Soup with Rice, Pierre, One Was Johnny, and Alligators All Around). The narrative follows Rosie, an expressive and ambitious girl from Brooklyn who gathers her neighborhood friends to audition for a musical based on her life.
