Robert Cray & Hi Rhythm

Robert Cray & Hi Rhythm is a collaborative studio album by Blues Hall of Famer Robert Cray and the historic Hi Rhythm Section. Released on April 28, 2017, through producer Steve Jordan's Jay-Vee Records, the project was born out of Cray's passion to create a classic soul record.

The album was recorded at the legendary Royal Studios in Memphis, Tennessee—the exact location where the Hi Rhythm Section carved out their signature sound backing icons like Al Green and O.V. Wright during the 1970s. It features a blend of reimagined soul covers, deep tracks, and original compositions. The album eventually went on to receive a GRAMMY nomination.
