Released in June 2004, Seven New Songs of "Mount Eerie" was the first release by Phil Elverum under the Mount Eerie moniker after retiring his previous project, The Microphones. Originally recorded in Anacortes, WA, for a July 2004 tour of Australia, it was first distributed as a limited edition of 196 CD-Rs with photocopied covers.
