Straight Up

Album by Downchild Blues Band ‧ 1973

The Downchild Blues Band released their highly acclaimed album Straight Up in 1973. It stands as one of the most influential records in Canadian blues history, largely because it caught the attention of Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi. The duo later covered three tracks from this exact album—"I've Got Everything I Need (Almost)", "Shot Gun Blues", and "Flip, Flop and Fly"—on the multi-platinum Blues Brothers debut album, Briefcase Full of Blues.
