The soundtrack for the 1996 film The Whole Wide World is an official co-credited collaboration between Hans Zimmer and Harry Gregson-Williams, originally released by Mojo Records.
While Hans Zimmer received top billing for the marketing and album art, the score was predominantly composed and handled by his protégé at Media Ventures, Harry Gregson-Williams. Gregson-Williams famously noted that Zimmer did not write the music directly but served as a mentor and producer, with the sound strongly reflecting Zimmer's signature synthesized, melodic style.
